Common Questions about Xeomin
It is highly recommended for you to book a consultation prior to having Permanent Makeup or Microblading done so we can discuss your expectations and you can see how the process works. It also gives us a chance to fill out some of your required paperwork ahead of time. A consultation will help calm any anxiety you may have, and you will be able to get all of your questions answered.
Microblading is a way to achieve natural-looking eyebrows for those who don't have much (or any) brow hair or those who just want brows that are more full or filled in. It is a manual semi-permanent makeup procedure where tiny needles, which make up a small blade, are used to deposit pigment underneath the top layer of the skin. We do not use a tattoo gun, and pigment is used instead of ink to make natural-looking hair strokes and/or a powdered look.
Permanent Eyeliner and Lip Color are very similar to a tattoo, although not exactly the same. We use pigment rather than ink and do not deposit the pigment as far into the skin as a tattoo. We use a tattoo machine to apply the pigment for Eyeliner and Lip Color or Lip Blushing. We use Microblading needles and a manual method for Microblading. Legally, this is all considered a type of tattoo.
It is possible to remove Microblading pigment following a less-than-desirable procedure. A warm/hot (not burning hot) salt water compress can help lift some of the pigment out on your own. If it has been less than 24 hours, please text us for an emergency session. 682-354-LUXE. If it has been longer than 48 hours, you will need to wait at least three months before having it worked on for correction. Before you try to remove it, feel free to send us a photo or arrange a meeting with us to take a look. We may be able to touch them up for you.
Please be VERY CAREFUL when talking to artists about removal techniques. If it is not laser removal performed by a doctor or certified laser technician, it is probably not a legal procedure.
YES! Most of what we use are one-time use disposable items. We also thoroughly clean, sanitize, and sterilize all reusable tools. Reverse osmosis water is used during the procedure. We have an incredibly high standard of cleanliness due to our owner's background working in various hospital and healthcare settings.
Yes! Some natural fading will occur during the healing process after your initial procedure. This happens because some parts of the skin may take pigment better than others. If you have very oily skin, you may need two touch-ups. We fix all of this fading in the Perfecting Session as well as any areas you may want to shade or add a few more hair strokes. This Perfecting Session must be done 6-8 weeks after the first procedure. Touch-ups beyond the first Perfecting Session are up to your discretion. Touch-ups after the Perfecting Session are $200 unless the pigment and/or shape fade completely. Then, a new procedure fee applies.
That depends on a few things. If your tattoo has significantly faded, it is much easier to make it look more natural. Dark tattoo cannot be Microbladed, because it won't show up. Also, if your eyebrows were tattooed quite unevenly, you may need to do tattoo removal first. Otherwise, we will have to do a very thick brow to make them match. Please send us a very clear close-up photo of your brows with no makeup on so we can assess if we are able to Microblade over your tattoo: CONTACT US HERE (mailto:hello@luxeaesthetics.com)with your photo or text your photo to 682-354-LUXE

This depends how how much hair you naturally have, and your natural symmetry. However, I always say to allow for 3 hours for the initial procedure and and hour-and-a-half for the touch-up. Most of your first appointment is spent meticulously mapping and measuring to make sure you get the most perfect symmetrical brows that you LOVE before we start with the actual Microblading.
No, and please be VERY CAUTIOUS when getting cheap Permanent Makeup! Oftentimes cheap materials are used, because good supplies are expensive! If cheap needles are used, they can tear and damage your skin and leave scarring. Cheap pigments may also be used that don't last or turn funny colors. Sanitation & sterilization are also a HUGE DEAL to avoid infection and transmission of disease! Many permanent makeup artists are also not properly trained since there aren't any state-mandated training requirements, which is kind of terrifying actually. Sterilization equipment, high quality materials, maintenance, and staying current with training and licensing are all not cheap! Remember, you get what you pay for! Cheap cost usually means cheap results or infection that you end up paying to fix later!
