Is PMU right for you?
PMU is great if you want to:

A quick note on “natural”: healed PMU should look like a soft tint or gentle makeup—not a bold Instagram filter in real life. Your best result comes from choosing a shape and shade that fits your bone structure, coloring, and lifestyle.

What to expect
1) Consultation + mapping (your custom plan)
We’ll talk through your goals, review your skin type and undertones, and map your shape so you can preview the plan before we begin. If you have old PMU, we’ll assess whether correction is realistic (and what kind of outcome to expect).
2) Numbing + comfort
Most clients do very well. You may feel pressure, vibration, or a scratching sensation depending on the area. Comfort is a priority, and we move at a pace that keeps you relaxed.
3) The procedure
Your appointment usually includes:

Cleansing + prep

Detailed shape design (brows/lips/liner)

Pigment selection customized to you

Precise application
-
Final check + aftercare instructions
4) Healing + the “in-between” stage (totally normal)
PMU heals in phases. Your color will look stronger at first, then soften as your skin recovers.
Typical healing timeline (varies by person):

Days 1–3: looks bolder/darker; mild swelling or tenderness possible

Days 4–10: light flaking/peeling (do not pick!)

Days 10–28: color looks lighter or “patchy” as it settles
-
Weeks 4–8: final color and shape become more true-to-life

Weeks 6-12: We do the Perfecting Session to finalize the look
5) Perfecting session (touch-up)
Most PMU benefits from a follow-up visit around 6–8 weeks to perfect symmetry, adjust depth, and refine color retention. (Some clients need it, some need less—skin type and aftercare matter a lot.)

Pre-appointment guidelines (best results start here)
In the week before your appointment, we’ll generally recommend:

Avoid sunburn/tanning on the area

Avoid strong exfoliants/retinoids on the treatment area (as instructed)

Stay hydrated and arrive with clean skin

We will give you a prep kit for lip blushing to prepare your lips
If you’re prone to cold sores and booking lip blushing: ask your medical provider about an antiviral. Prevention is very important.

Aftercare basics (simple, but important)
To protect your pigment and your skin barrier, plan on:

Keeping the area clean and following the aftercare ointment instructions

Avoiding sweating, saunas, pools, hot tubs, and heavy steam for a short period

Avoiding makeup directly on the treated area until healed
-
Avoiding sun exposure and using SPF once healed (sun fades pigment fastest)
